THE STAMPED CONCRETE PROCESS IN A NUTSHELL

Briefly, the stamped concrete process involves forming and pouring new concrete. Next, we add color by integral color (putting color in the concrete truck) or by using a color hardener that is applied on top of fresh concrete and worked into the surface. The concrete is then bull floated, and steel troweled to a very smooth finish. Next, a release agent is applied to keep the fresh concrete from sticking to the stamps. The next step is to lay rubber mats of the design of choice on top of the fresh concrete, and tamp them down to make an impression. The next day we hand grind out small imperfections, accent and seal.

Overlay stamp provides the same look as the stamped concrete, but it is applied over existing concrete usually 3/8” thick. This allows someone with a bad driveway, patio or pool deck to really upgrade their home.
